Link To The World- Improve writing.
Writing isn`t an easy skill to teach in the digital age we live. The problem is that most students make punctuation and grammar mistakes. This often happens because they write in a hurry .The faster they finish the best.They don`t have motivation to check and look for new vocabulary. What`s worst they aren`t involved in their writing. They feel it`s just an exercise and it`s unreal. I asked myself how I could change this situation and I found a real purpose to motivate them:I realized that they could produce letters to real people from different countries in a community for a goal I proposed for The 30 Challenges Goals For Educators by Shelly Terell Sanchez :Link To The World: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/102242336148220737279 They could also choose who to write to. I wanted them not to leave the pen and sheet because they make you unique: you have a spelling which identifies you and your personal touch, so I decided to make my students take pictures and post their productions. I was really surprised.There was a real change: in their effort to impress recipients and make their post perfect they paid attention to every single detail. They took their time to do their best and the results were great. They are looking forward to hearing from others and send them another letter by the virtual world. These are moments I captured so that you can picture what I`m telling you about.

Goal Link To the World -Why I thought about this goal
One day I woke up and thought myself what would make a difference in my students. I wanted them not only to learn grammar rules because to study languages is more than that. I asked myself about the purpose of learning a second language and the advantages it give us. It was then that I realized and I found the answer. Learning an international language as English allows to communicate with the world and learn about different cultures. At this time the goal “Link To The World” came to my mind.It would have positive effects on my students: natural context would get more competence in dealing with everyday linguistic transactions.It would also help them to become independent learners . They would reflect on their own and others` cultures.Their real world meaningful connection would provide to my students with comprehensible input in the transactions in the negotiation with the outside world. From the implementation onwards, they would improve their language skills but what is more important they would have a global vision which will help them to understand cultures and a common core: we are all human beings immersed in this world. As Louis Armstrong said What a wonderful: we have much more to discover yet, there is no time to wait :)
